Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life

“The universe is change; our life is what our thoughts make it.”

~ Marcus Aurelius

Our thoughts and feelings can have a great impact on the way we live our lives. Some people believe that our thoughts can often lead to manifesting certain outcomes or events in our lives. Jinga Life spoke to Andreia Auozani*, a Holistic Therapist, who highlights that from the moment we are born, we begin to absorb all of the information around us. “Whatever we see, hear, smell, touch, or feel will be saved automatically to our conscious, subconscious or unconscious mind.” This is often done without our even realising it. All of these things will begin to form our personalities as we age.

The Power of Thought

The pieces of information that are saved in our conscious, subconscious or unconscious mind can have a huge impact on our thoughts toward ageing. These thoughts can then affect how we age. Andreia says “ everything we take as truth in ageing will affect our mental health as well as physical conditions.” If we observe an elderly grandparent who is constantly complaining of pains and aches caused by old age, this can affect how we age. The seed has been planted for us to associate being old with constant pain. If we grow up with these thoughts circling in our heads, they can begin to manifest and impact our bodies in a physical and mental way.

Going from Negative to Positive

Andreia says “our belief system says a lot about our behaviour, our feelings and also about the physical body and its conditions.” If we are thinking negatively about a situation or life event, such as ageing, it can lead to negative ramifications. But how can we change this negative thinking to a positive outlook? No one wants to be grey before their time after all…

Andreia explains how we can change our negative thoughts to positive, “I have seen different techniques and they all help us to change our belief system, open up our mind for a different point of view, a new reality to live our daily life. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Thetahealing® and Access Bars®: are three different techniques that will change our mindset giving back to us the ability to co-create everything in our life for the best.” Let’s see what Andreia had to say on each of these treatments.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

First established by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1970s, NLP can help us change our mindset through some exercises that will change our neural language programming. Whatever we think about ourselves, about life, about others, about health and ageing, this can be all re-programmed to give us a better quality of life.

Thetahealing

Thetahealing® is an energetic healing process, created by Vianna Stibal. It works through meditation. This meditation brings us to the Theta brain wave, where we can access our subconscious mind and dig into the root of our beliefs. This enables us to find the negative learning behind our thoughts and allows us to begin to replace them with positive ones. It also helps us to manifest whatever we want in our life. As we age, Thetahealing® can aid us in manifesting the way we want to grow older.

Access Bars®

Access Bars® is a body healing technique created by Gary Douglas, the founder of the Access Consciousness®. “The Bars® are 32 unique points on the head that correlate to different areas and aspects of life. During an Access Bars session, a practitioner gently touches these points to release the electromagnetic charge of all thoughts, ideas, attitudes, decisions, and beliefs that may have limited you in the concerned life areas”. This also includes our beliefs about getting older.

*Andreia Auozani is a Journalist and became a Reiki practitioner in 2002. More recently, she has become an Access Bars® practitioner and Facilitator, and Thetahealer®. As well as that, she is a Life Coach and NLP practitioner. She started to learn all these techniques while looking for her own healing until she felt it was time to share and help others with their healing process.
